The venue of the conference is Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort in Langkawi Island. The venue of the conference is Langkawi, located to the north of Peninsular Malaysia. The 104 tropical islands that make up Langkawi are strung out like emeralds on calm turquoise seas, enticing visitors with its wealth of legends, some of which are as old as time itself. The most famous of Langkawi's legend is the tragic tale of Mahsuri, a beautiful maiden who was accused of adultery and unjustly sentenced to death despite her pleas of innocence. When she was stabbed with a keris, white blood spouted from her body, signifying her innocence. In her dying moments, she uttered a curse that Langkawi would become a barren land and would not prosper for seven generations... With both the highly dynamic field of mobile computing and the charming exotic location of Langkawi, this promises to be a very exciting and unique event which is not to be missed. |
