About

The Department of Computer Engineering , Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus was founded on February 3, 1989. The mission is to provide teaching, research, know-how assembly, and academic service according to the department specialization, including cultural conservation and national identity preservation.

In Education, the Department provides adequate classrooms, laboratories including computers and appliances for experiment and studying. The Department serves the national demand with five programs:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Software and Knowledge Engineering) – International Program
  • Master of Science (Information Technology)
  • Master of Engineering (Computer Engineering)
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Computer Engineering)

In addition, the Department also provides education of major, minor, and elective subjects under the Department specialization for other programs in the Faculty, in Bangkhen campus, in other faculties, and even in other campuses.

In Research, the Department has established many units from institutes, specialized centers, to laboratories under control of the university, the faculty, and the department. The result is cooperation in researching with various local and abroad academic institutions, funded from both Kasetsart University budget, governmental organizations, and local and abroad companies. The Department has operated both fundamental and applied researches with specializations of the Department.

In Know-How Assembly, the Department supports the lecturers, researchers, and staffs to continuously educate themselves and the Department by further education, seminar attendance, academic work presentation, cooperation with local and foreign specialists, and knowledge transmission between internal staffs.

Besides of directly wide and narrow transmission of know-how assemblage of the Department to the students, it is also deliberated into easy-to-understand and clear instance and publicly transmitted in format of academic training, camp, and consulting to people and professionals both in local and abroad governmental and private organizations.

At present, the Department still firmly commits to the mission and continuously operates in all ways to establish the resources in form of know-how and specialized graduates, and to support the country with academic strength and ethics in order to equally compete globally.
